Rev. Rick Wessell
Co-Pastor
Pastor Rick began his time at Wyoming Church in July 2016. He had previously been the pastor of Gethsemane UMC in Seaford, DE and St. George’s UMC in Clarksville, DE. In July of 2023, Rick also began his 16th year of full time ministry. Rick’s passion in ministry is the teaching and preaching of God’s Word, the Bible.
He is a native of Clayton, DE. He holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware, and he has his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. While at ATS, Rick met his wife Lindsay, and they have been married since July 2007. Lindsay and Rick are passionate about animals and have many pets. They are the proud parents of Elias, Samuel, and Hope.
Rick is a crazed fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the Baltimore Orioles, and University of Delaware football. He also enjoys road cycling, working out, and cooking.
Rev. Lindsay Wessell
Co-Pastor
Rev. Lindsay Wessell is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She holds a BA in Religious Studies from the College of Wooster (2004 Wooster, OH) and a M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary (2008 Wilmore, KY). Pastor Lindsay is called to discipling people so they in turn can have a deep and fulfilling relationship with God/Jesus/and the Holy Spirit and do their part in responding to the Great Commission. Pastor Lindsay enjoys preaching, teaching, outreach ministries, and building relationships. While originally from Pittsburgh, PA she is at home on the Eastern Shore, having served multiple churches across Sussex and Kent DE, and Wicomico MD. She was appointed to Wyoming UMC in 2020, and is honored to be part of Wyoming's mission and ministry. She lives with her husband, Rick, and 3 children in Felton DE. In her downtime, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, reading, cooking, gardening, and hanging out with the people she loves.
Misty Fiske
Music Director
Misty is an organist, music director, choir director and music teacher with experience ranging from teaching preschool children to adult choirs. A pianist most of her life, she studied organ at Rowan University and graduated with a BA in education and a BM in music. After teaching in different school districts for several years in Delaware and New Jersey, she earned an MA in worship and music. Misty spends her time teaching general music to students in grades K-8, playing for shows, choirs and musicals, and playing for weddings and other events. She is currently the accompanist for the Salem Oak Singers in Carney’s Point, NJ, and the organist/music director at Wyoming UMC in Wyoming, DE.
