Wyoming UMC has made arrangements with Vanco Services to enable the same kind of online payment services offered by utility companies, banks, insurance companies, etc. While we encourage online giving for a variety of reasons, you may continue to give as you have in the past.
WHY? There are a number of benefits to online giving.
- Flexibility- weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly donations
- Choices– how much, what fund, how much – it’s up to you
- Security- protects your bank account information
- Efficiency- eliminates counting and data input by the bookkeeper
- Green– eliminates paper storage at the church office
- Planning– provides for better budgeting and cash management
- Budgeting- easier personal budgeting for you

What Special Giving opportunities are there? The most current list of opportunities is available from the Church Office. For a downloaded list, CLICK HERE.
What is a Special Gift? Weddings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, the arrival of a new child or the passing of a loved one are important milestones on life’s journey. More and more, people are looking to make lasting gifts to the church to mark these special occasions. And with the move to our new building, there will be an abundance of opportunities to honor individuals or events with meaningful gifts to the church and its ministries.
How will donations be handled? Cash donations made in honor of a living individual / celebration or in memory of a loved one will be kept in a Special Gifts Fund to be used for appropriate items to help the church carry forward its mission in the community. A Special Gifts Team has been named to oversee the process, and maintain a current list of appropriate items needed by the church. The team will be in charge of receiving, recording and acknowledging all gifts and will present regular updates to the Church Council. Cash gifts will be kept in an interest bearing account until spent for their intended purpose. (The detailed Special Gifts Policy is available in the church office.)
How will gifts be acknowledged? All donors of Special Gifts will be acknowledged in Memorial Books and in addition with an inscribed plaque of equal size (approximately 1” by 3”), placed on a display board in the church’s Memorial Room. All memorial plaques from the old church are part of this permanent display. The display boards are designated:
In Honor of … to celebrate births, graduations, weddings, anniversaries and tributes to living persons
In Memory of … to mark the death of a loved one
To the Glory of God … to acknowledge all individuals and families who have already made donations to the new building or do so through future pledges.
